flatworms

Does anyone out there really know what to do about flatworms. I have an SPS tank, everything is in balance, and all the perimeters are good. I thought that everything was in balance, but noticed that I have a nice infestation of brownish-red flatworms. I tried siphoning them with a small tube. I got a lot of them, but a day later they are all back. I have been reading on line and have heard everything from blue velvet nudi branch (which seem impossible to find), 6 line wrasse, as well as other types of wrasses. I have a psychodelic mandarin, but he doesn't seem interested in them. I really don't want to go chemical, as in FWE. I have also read that eventually they will die off. Any ideas, anyone? Please help!

where are you located at?
they will not just die off byt them selves infact they spread to plague porportions and fast, I would go with the nudi to clear them up I know a place that has them all the time here local to me in puyallup wa, also check out reeftopia.com for online orders...

you will probably have a hard time finding this until spring comes and the water temp comes up, they are seasonal I believe.. (atleast rarley collected this time of year)

ur best bet is to get a wrasse.. ive heard flatworms feed off detritus/extra stuff lying around, so you might want to look into that...

the wild side has them most of the time, I am not sure about right now but they have them most the time...

I added more flow to the spots where they collected and no longer see them ( although they might be somewhere their not visible)

As to Flatworms, if you wish to protect pods for any reason and don't want to buy a fish; use Salifort Flatworm Exit per directions. It will take care of the problem and not kill anything else. Reef safe.

hey i had flatworms for 2 years i think ... six line did it ..well i also added more flow, siphoning, and bigger water changes .

I have some red planaria, not very many but noticed that one strain of my stylophora (red) is getting eaten and the porite is doing poorly. FW exit, here we come!

Flat worm exit works wonders! Just follow the directions.
