Hey all, I got the go ahead to setup a small tank on my desk at work. Since I have been reffing for about 14 years, I decided to do a mini softy reef.
The LED light that comes with the Fluval Spec is useless so I decided to build my own. Total cost ended up being about $80.00 and it looks (and works) freaking awesome. Talk about shimmer!!! One of my coworkers said "Geez, I hope no one here has epilepsy."

The light consists of 3 x 3.3v CREE LEDs
2 x cool white (700 lumens each at 350ma) and 1 x royal blue (300~ lumens at 350ma)
1 x 1000ma 12 volt power supply
1 x 350ma buck puck
$18.00 in ABS plastic
