In case you tried to get on earlier today (Saturday, Aug 12th) and the board was closed, it was because I installed the latest version of our forum software. Here are some features you can expect:

Multi-Quote
The much-requested multi-quote feature allows users to tag multiple posts that they wish to respond to by clicking a small button on each post. Once the user clicks the reply button, each tagged post is quoted.

Mark Forums Read with AJAX
If you wish to mark a forum read, you can simply click its status icon on the index page and the change will be processed without a reload. You can even mark individual sub-forums as read in the same way.

New Buddy/Ignore List Editor Saves with AJAX
Along with a new interface, your buddy and ignore lists are saved with AJAX to prevent an unnecessary reload. Additionally to make the interface even easier to use, vBulletin searches for matching users as you type their names.

Private Message Preview in Notification Emails
If you have elected to receive emails when receiving a new private message, the email will now contain more than just the name of the user who sent you the message. The title and body of the message will be included.

Auto-Resize Oversized Image Attachments
If a user attaches an image that has dimensions larger than the administrator allows, the image will automatically resized to fit.

And many many behind the scenes improvements. If you see something that may be useful to other members, feel free to post here. I have certainly not had a chance to scratch the surface myself.

sweet to the auto re-size, I always hated changing the format of all my pictures to fit on this forum..

Sounds great! I noticed a few small changes today and I played with a few, but the auto re-size is a cool option. I've noticed for a while now your avitar is auto re-sized as well. I use to spend forever in paint trying to shrink a pic enough for my avitar and you don't have to anymore.:)

Ya, didn't ya hear? They tried to put remote control on a M1A2 tank in Iraq. It was working fine untill they accidently drove it off a cliff and crashed. Charlie took it harder than the rest of us. :p

I was just curious if anyone else had any problems with this? I haven't tried it today or yesterday, but the day before (Monday) I tried to upload some attachments and I was unable to upload them because the size of the file was over the limit (I think the file was 130kb and the limit is 100kb ):)

Auto-Resize Oversized Image Attachments

Thnaks for adding the Auto-Resize for Oversized Image Attachments That greatly helps us computer challenged guys! I really like what i have learned so far on the up grades

So does that mean it worked for you Jeff? If so, then I'll give it a try when I get home:)

The resize applies to dimensions (length and width) not file size ...

For example, the image I uploaded here was 640 pixels wide, it was resized to 600 wide. It is meant to make the look of the more viewable to most people to not have a HUGE file make it look bad.

Ahh...No wonder. My bad  Thanks Chuck! Nice coral BTW:)
