I would like to see the business hours and/or directions (for local WA business) be the first post (ie, a Sticky) on each vendor.

For example, the forum I belong to in NC had something like this:

http://rasoc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1183

I would like to see something similiar in RF.

IF need be, I don't mind compiling and posting the information for local WA businesses.

I second this idea! In addition I would like to see the website if available. This sticky would make it much easier to do business with our sponsors!

Kris,

Exactly !!

So when is your 400g tank being built? You still have an open invitation to see my setup and water change system.

Not sure what you are looking for. Reef Frontiers is not a club site, and the sponsors here are not affiliated with any club but are sponsors of Reef Frontiers. If you want contacts for your local stores on your club's website, you should contact your club.

For example PSAS website is http://www.thepsas.org/

If RF is not a club site, then what is it??

Not trying to be difficult, just trying to understand.

A reef keeping community for all reefkeeping hobbyists. We provide clubs with their own individual forums if they desire in order to have more local discussions, but we are not affiliated with any one club.

Kirk, the tank is currently being built, I should have it this week or next (sometime before the 4th of July weekend).

MtnDewMan,
I would like to see this feature for all of the RF sponsors (not just the local ones), as a sticky in their forum. For instance last week Bluegrass corals was added as a sponsor and then they started talking about their products, but no contact information. Fortunately it was an easy search to find their website, but it would be nice to have a link and info about the company in a sticky in the sponsors forum.

If the sponsors wish to provide that info, they certainly can.

The most direct way to get to a sponsor is via the following link:

http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/misc.php?do=page&template=sponsors

Note that on this page if you are curious as to at least where they are located, it does provide the state where the do business out of.

I will take this under consideration though for the future.

It looks like what Chuck is saying is that the sponsers run their threads here at RF and we should talk to them to add this sticky. For example, PSAS contact and club info would be up to me to create and post as a sticky. None the less, its a great idea.

I remember seeing that page before:shock:!! That is the one you get by clicking "sponsor" on the menu. I have gotten in such a habit of going into the forum page I had forgot about that page that links to the website.

Thanks,

Me too. However, some of the links do not work or are a dead link. For example, Red Sea Aquarium. If you click on their logo, it takes you to the main RF Home page, not their web site. I would like to see this on all sponsors as well, but the sponsor page I did forget.

Thanks for considering my request.

That part I figured out. :D

This is a perfect example where a Sticky containg store information would have been helpful. I go to the Forum section, scroll down to find Red Sea, and then view the Sticky for them. It would have their business info and directions. Otherwise, to find this information, you have to use Live Search or Google OR find another thread on RF that has their business number listed.

Like I said I will take it under consideration.

Those forums are not my forums, they are our sponsors forums to do as they please with them. If they please to put their addresses up there that is great advertising. I however will not take the responsibility to make sure the info is up to date, that is up to the sponsor.

This is the missing information that I needed. I did not know that the sponsors were responsible for their own info..

Makes sense now.

thanks for the clarification.
Kirk
