How does one go about fragging some of the more solid LPS? Favia in particular?

I was thinking maybe a chisel, but I don't want to damage it.

Diamond wet saw. Looks like a mini table saw. I just bought one not long ago to cut ceramic tiles. Now once that that project is done....

$80-90 at Home Depot, IIRC.

Oh... I wouldn't use it with SALT water in the pan. Just a warning.

I agree witht he grimreefer... portable wet saw for tile. And you can run saltwater through them, no worries. I carry my wet saw monthly in my suitcase to give frag workshops. Been doing it for years now. Same saw BTW :p It cost $47 at Lowes (4" blade for portability... but bigger blade/saw is better at home).

You can just rip right through the corallum anywhere on the specimen. Truly.

The IMAC and MACNA DVDs for the last couple/few years likely have footage of me, Eric, etc doing this if you care to borrow or buy one of the discs. FWIW :)
