Fragging jasmine polyp help!

I've never fragged anything before so this will be my first time doing anything like this. I've read up on fragging and was wondering if jasmine polyps were close enough to GSP and all you needed to go was scrap off the purple mat attached to the rock and super glue it to a new piece? Any help would be good!

It is very hard to remove it *cleanly* from any rough surface.
