FROM U-TUBE to THREAD, VIDEO ???

How is a video posted to a thread from Utube.
Eric was generous enough to film the reactors that were built at my place. Now we need to let the masses see how they work

Anyone able to give Eric a quick lesson on how to get the video posted to the Workshop forum????

Thanks Jeff but we are trying to get the actual video embedded into the thread, not a link. We have seen several people do this so I know it can be done. We just cant figure out how... :typing:...:smash:

You have to go to utube and copy the embedded code, then go advanced and hit the insert video button and copy it. SHould be fine from their.

When you make your post, don't just paste the link to the video into the posting window. Click the button above the posting window that says "Insert Video" when you hover over it (screen cap attached with the button highlighted).

In the window that pops up you enter the youtube link. When you hit ok, it will enter in the html code that embeds the video. If it worked correctly it should look something like "[videeo](youtube link goes in here)[/videeo]". (I spelled video with two e's - yours should only come up with one e.) You can double check that it worked correctly by clicking the "Go Advanced" button beneath the posting window and then clicking the "Preview Post" button.
