I don't know if this is common knowledge out there but I was down at the Seattle Waterfront with my wife at her art show and I had to walk down and take care of some personal business. That's not the FYI, but in my little trek to the porta p***y, I walked by the Seattle Aquarium and noticed a sign that said Free saltwater by their back dock doors. I saw a guy that had a shirt on that said Seattle Aquarium and asked him what the deal was. He said that the saltwater that they use in the aquarium is filtered right out of Puget Sound and that at times they offer the water for free and just bring your own container and use the hose and take what you need, just make sure to shut the valve off when your done. I didn't know if this was common knowledge but I thought I would throw that out there.

I knew that they offered it for a fee, but never free. Well worth it for someone in the "very close to downtown" area.

I also want to add, a long time ago, PSAS did a behind the door tour at SA and they mentioned this being offer. But FYI, like they said, that it runs through stages of filters. But what they did not mentioned is that the water they are using runs another level of filtration plus UV.

So the faucet is filtered.
But the water inside is filtered plus filtered plus UV.

Its good to know that they are free now. It will saves you a lot on that initial fill for your tank.
