big t tankless Joined Oct 21, 2003 Messages 1,914 Location Denver Jan 16, 2006 #4 A ph controller is not necessary, and a waste of money if you ask me. I use a ph meter to check the ph of the effluent regularly, but that is not exactly a necessity either, but dosn't hurt.
