After 6 months of playing with these mods and unable to get them to work for a long period I broke down and bought two Seio 1100's with the controller.
Now after three days I have to admit this setup is really sleek... And works very well.
The only noise you can hear is when the Seios ramp up from 50% to 100% and NO clattering like the Mj's.
The 8 minute and 16 minute feed button is nice too,Once the end of the feed cycle is complete the unit automatically switches back to its normal cycle. And after some figuring with all the mount options and included hardware,I figured out one they dont offer and with a little Ca I had something that was stable, vibration dampening and very adjustable. All my inhabitants dont seem to mind the new flow pattern. pics to follow on the modded mount.

Pics added.

Great looking stand.
I turn the controller down to low at night, saves a little power.
Be prepared for that xenia to get sucked up into the seio and sprayed throughout the tank. Might want to move it...

Thanks on the stand...

No problems with running the seio's at 50% all night?

And that photo is very deceiving, That Anthelia (sp) is about 9 inches away from that pump, but its the same height...

i did the same thing with my mj mod..i got so frustrated after fooling with it alot, i threw the entire thing in the trash!!!!

Very nice work on that stand! I'm currently building one, as well, and can very much appreciate nice clean work right now.

I was noticing, that very first picture, with the Seio in the water... looks like a great way to make sure Xenia is growing EVERYWHERE in your tank, eh? If you're not careful, that pump's going to suck some of that xenia in, and you'll never get rid of it then!

hey i like the way u put togeather your seios i hadnt thought to do it that way mine fall off every now and again
i have an m820 and m620 on my 50gallon and they are good getting another m820 soon they are quiet expensive here m820 was $89au now i could spend a $99 and get a tunze nano stream but its not as many gph as an m820 i sure do like the magnet but

nice job on the stand ed. very very nice.:D

Thanks Sryder, This is the week the tank gets drained,Friday to be exact... I just borrowed a 100 gallon rubbermaid container from a LFS. That should hold all the rock and coral so the stand could be changed... I guess there will be some new aquascaping going on too (must get before and after pics)... and since there is going to be dieoff I thought I would add about 20 or 30 lbs of live rock on top of the 130lbs I have now... I think I should be ok with the new Octopus150 and weekly pwc's... I hope.

im woundering if the mj mod is suspect......

i was looking at the tunze's yesterday, with the controler.... and for what they want. i know ill have what i need ya know? i dont know tho
