Glass cover/lighting question...

Hi all,
I recently purchased an auto-feeder and it needs a platform to sit on. I happened to have an old glass splash/evaporation cover that hinges in the middle. I took off one of the glass pieces and put in on the right side/front of my 55 gal and placed the feeder on top of this. It works great. BUT, is that glass doing any filtering of the light from the halides? I have some soft corals that are under that glass. Will they be okay or are they in some sort of light spectrum shade that's going to cause issues?

If you keep that piece of glass clean you should be okay.

The simple answer is Yes it will block some of the light, but not enough to matter if you keep it clean.
