good day all

Just wondering if there is anyone on here with experiece with sting rays and if there are some that are better then others for a predatory tank set up

thanks

Do a search here on 1700 gallon stingray reef.... One of the members has an eastern fiddler ray, which is supposed to be one of the better ones to keep in home (not public aquariums) tanks.

Agood book to get is Scott Michaels' Sharks and Rays...

Probably the best reference for the information your looking for.

hey thanks for the link that is something that I will have to look at. I really want a blue ring ray but I know that they are leathal so I think that I will stay away from them lol

got any more info at all?

Well what size tank/pond is it going in. Its gonna need to be rather big. I would suggest either a cortez or a yellow stingray. More the cortez than anything. They are rather small and very hardy. As for other rays, I would stay away from the blue spot ribbon tails. They have a horrible succes rate in this hobby. make sure you only use RO water. Tap water will kill them. Trust me on that one i learned from experience.

I was looking at the eastern fildder ray that maxx told me about and looked like something that I would be intrested in but i will have to look at the others too
