I think that is the type of mantis shrimp I have. It looks like the one in Curtswering's workshop #30 except it is about one and a half that size and brighter green and the eyes are yellow. I'm not sure what to do with it it is where I can catch it I think. I live in Costa Mesa, CA..

It is eating all the pods in my little refugium....and I think even some macro algae as it is the color of the algae? It is very small. If I can catch it anyone want it? I have never shipped anything live.

as you know they are retiring creatures... I will try and get a pic. this weekend. You are the second person who has expressed interest. I don't want any money just what it costs me to ship. My husband will help. He ships lenses for cameras and such.

Next time I see her/him(the mantis) I will post here.:)

LOL...sorry not a chance. Well I shouldn't say that. Are you in the market for a lense for a canon d20 or a digital back?

Congradulatios!!! it is so cool that you are MOTH oops I mean member of the month. You certainly deserve it!

My husband has been shopping for a digital back for his Nikon. He says they are still all about $900 (?) That seems like a lot....

no that sounds about right for a used one. I am the wife so I am not sure but I think $2 thousand is about right for a used back. It depends from the little I understand how large the chip in the back is?
I think my husband uses a phase 2.
