We have a hitchicker in the tank that almost looks like a feather duster or an anenome, but only comes out at night. There is only 1, and I keep trying to get a picture, but have not been successful. It is pink, white, and purple. I dont think it is aptasia, or those mojano things, altough did find out I have 2 of those, so will try to kill them.

This guest in my tank is about a quarter size flat disc when fully opened, but ONLY comes out when ALL lighting is off, even living room lighting. If we go back out and turn the actinics on, it stays out for a little bit and then retreats back in the rock.

Any ideas? Should I leave it be, or try to get rid of it?? Thanks!!!

I had tons of small feather dusters hitchhike on my rock. Without a pic I would guess if that is what it looks like...that is prob what it is. They will not bother anything.
