Good Guy or Bad Guy?

I found this red spot on my acan/blasto (not sure what this guy was since I bought it as a grab bag off of website). I've had it a few months and never noticed it before. Is this a parasite or somekind of just part of the coral? Yes, I did dip before putting it in my tank. Thanks for the feedback.

Wow that's bright! Pic is not clear on my phone. Is it hard or soft. If its soft, it could possibly be sponge. If you are unsure, you should be able to scrape it off. Take it out of the tank with some tank water to rinse it in.

Looks like a red sponge. Is it flat or does it have depth, like sticking out from the stalk.

It reminds me of a clown nose. Sticks out a little, is 'soft' or spongey. He can live as long as it doesn't hurt the host.

I would bet a Sponge Bob Square Pants, if you look real close, does it have square shorts on. Just kidding, it's probably a sponge, and should be okay. Neat, bright red color.
