Ok guys i was at the lfs today getting some r/o water and was checking on my leaf fish and fuzzy dwarf lion fish. Still not eating frozen food yet :( anyways i was talking to this dude about brittle stars and stuff. He was telling me that some brittle stars are kinda bad. Some eat small fish at night is this true and are these the kind that eat fish sorry for the not so good pics

Brady the green brittle stars are the one that will eat fish. I can't really tell from the picture but it looks like you may have a serpent star. If so you have nothing to worry about. If you can try to get a better picture.

Brian is right....the green ones can be downright aggressive. (I lost a six-line wrasse to one). So can the bright yellow ones.

However, you have what I call a "Stripey". They are mini-brittle stars and they always stay small. They are awesome detrivores!!! They are Ophiactis as opposed to Ophiuroids.

I can't hold it back any longer.... How long did it take you to photoshop those alien boobies to make them look like shrimp eyes :p
 
I agree with Curt. The star pictured is a mini brittle star variety, and will stay small. A great thing to have in a tank. You'll often see their legs sticking out of a hole in the rock trying to catch food after you feed.
