Google earth

Hey all,

Any of you ever try out "google earth"? It is an awesome satelite program available for free from google. You really need a broadband connection for it but if you have one go try it out. Basically you can look at just about anywhere in the world. Some areas don't have hi res pics so you cant zoom in real close but a lot do.

Who's house is this?

It super adicting too...the more you play with it the more things you find out it does. For example go to the "directions" part. Try, I dunno, Seattle to Portland or something. Then after it shows you the route hit the "tour" button...it drives you there by satelitte photo, very cool.....you can change the "tour speed" in the options section as the default is pretty slow.

What does it do, i just locate my house, and zoom in and out to see how insignificant one little area is to the whole wide world. And they say its a small world after all, its a small world after all, its a... sorry

Ahhhh... google earth... super cool!! The IT manager here at work was showing that to me a few weeks ago.

Hey Mike I was wondering if you would see that pic...actualy that ones is from surveilance photos I was taking....errrr strike that...lol. Yeah the pics are a couple years old. I was looking at some that show consruction that happened here a couple years ago. Interestingly enough the photo of the Lakeland Hills Towncenter (Top Foods) under construction in Auburn shows that there is snow on the ground, then if you move a couple miles N to the Muckleshoot Reservation you can see all the fireworks stands are set up which starts in April or so.....KenS check it out.

Yep, I noticed that my old covering on my patio is there, so there at least a few years old.
