Gorgonian eating urchin.....

Well I was very happy with this urchin..... Until it started eating my favorite gorg.... I found it attached to it this morning and flesh was missing.... Will it be able to recover from this? It was growing at an amazing rate and it's one of my favorites.

What kind of urchin do you have and what kind of gorgonian? Tell us more. Do you have pics? When was the last time the gorgonian shed? Was their any algae on the gorgonian? Since it was growing at a fast rate it sounds as if is healthy. I thought it maybe eating algae on the gorgonian if it hasn't shed recently.

I'll try to get some pics, but the gorg was deff missing flesh. It wasn't just algae. It's a yellow short spine urchin with purple spines. It's done a wonderful job of eating hair algae and algae in general. I was shocked to see that because it's a great janitor...
