Does anyone here know of a vendor for reasonably priced mandarins that eat frozen food ? Those who carry the ORA mandarins want 4x the normal price for them, then you have to pay the high shipping cost on top of that. It costs $140 to $145 just to get a mandarin eating frozen from some of them !

I paid $107 for my ORA Target Mandarin shipped. From Saltwaterfish.com
They pick the fish up from ORA and ship the same day. Total time in the bag for my fish was 12hrs. I picked him up from our FedEx station.

Probably not the right Forum for this thread. Not sure what Reef Frontiers policy is about this subject.

moving out of lee's forum to an appropriate one...keep in mind, Lee's forum is to be used for a specific question on fish disease, diagnosis, and/or treatment.

thx

I would just establish the copepod population in your tank and purchase a regular one if I were you. Its fairly easy to do as long as your water quality is good, and most fish will eat the copepods anyway so it would be beneficial for the entire tank.

Just my 2 cents.

Most LFS should be able to order in a captive conditioned or captive bred Mandarin. If they discuss it with their suppliers, generally they could find out what type of food is being fed to the critters prior to shipping.
