Green monti is going crazy

Well as the title says my green with purple rim monti is growing some CRAZY spikes......It started awhile ago and is still going. Can't wait to see what it looks like in a year. Heres a crappy pic.

Nice Monti. Beautiful. I have an orange one that I got as a little fellow, now it is giant size, multiple cups. I love those things.

Right now I'm really into my montis....I have a really nice red ,the green,a purple and a flower petal.All are growing fast and really nice color.

Yeah, I love them too. A reef without monti's just isn't complete. I always wanted another, different color but I don't have the room anymore. The one in the picture was from several months ago and has grown even bigger.

It's one of those corals you just don't want to frag and mess it up. But eventually it will get to large and eaither be fragged or get a biggger tank....LOL.

Love my montis too! I have a green a red and a purple and another one i cant remember the name of. Had a flower petal also a bit ago, but my rbta smothered it while it was small. Fragn mine is easy. I always seem to chip it somehow...lol. My green one has started to get those spikes also. Dont know why, it just started poppin them up.

Sweet Monti's......love the levels on the green. I have a purple just like yours. It would be cool if the spikes make levels.

My redd has a bunch of growth like spikes on the bottom.

I had a sunset frag and it never grew and just got smaller and then went away.

Thanks guys. I forgot. I picked up a sunset at barrier reefs anniversary sale. My purple guy is about 6-8" across. Started all my montis from 1/2" or so frags. The green one has been through 3 tank moves, temp spikes and drops. Rough water quality. Tough lil thing. Actually. Now that i think bout it, all the green, red, purple montis i got at the same time. So they all went through the same stuff...lol.
You can see the sunset just under my lil trigger.

That's really cool. I wish I had a bigger tank to get more. Not going to happen though. I will have to frag mine if he gets much bigger, which he will.
