>>Black polyurethane foam adheres rocks to liners and creates stunning waterfalls like a pro for a fraction of the cost. Dries tack-free in less than 10 minutes and typically cures within one hour. Fire-rated OK for electrical. Handi-Foam is ideal for small projects and applied with a one-piece straw applicator<<

Any reason not to use this stuff on my centered drain box in my 320gal display?

Any links to previous discussions on using black pond foam or other products to make a more natural looking drain box would be appreciated..
Thanks!!

Well, Polyurethane is chemical based like Epoxy. But, once it dries, to my knowledge, it is a food safe finish. There are some companies I know that use it to seal grout for tile in kitchens. I know epoxy is safe after it dries. But Not 100 percent sure if Polyurethane will leech after it sets. I'll see if I can find any info about it from the companies that I used to buy epoxy off of. I'll get back to you.
