Hi,

I'm hanging a dual 400w MH fixture on my canopy and its a little heavy :). I tried using two brass hooks from home depot, but after about 30 seconds, the hook started to become straight and my fixture sort of fell. Lucky it didn't break.

So I was wondering what hooks do you guys use to hang these?

Thanks

There are alot of the weight rated hooks now. Get some that are rated for like 100lbs and you should be o.k.

Mine are rated for 50 pounds eventhough my sunpod weighs less than 10. I used some folding brackets. Drill the pilot hole, squeese the the brackets into place. The brackets will expand and then I have the screws that put them into place. My current sunpod came with mounting brackets but you need additional hardware since my ceilings are vaulted. I used a plumb bob to get the right positioning for each of the 2 brackets so they are straight and before I knew it, my lights were ready. 11 inches above the water line. Hope that helps.

TNS
