I purchased a beautiful Hawaiian feather duster the other day from my local fish store and it adapted to my tank very well.... Now just after i finished a water change it is releasing a white stringy substance from the opening of what I consider it's mouth (the center point of the feathers). What is this and why is it happening... The new water comming into the tank was a few degrees cooler then the tanks water and dropped the tank water 3 or so degrees could that have anything to do with it? Any help would be great.....

I'm not sure about the feather duster but I would try to keep the water I'm putting in the same temp and salinity as what you're taking out. Most anything in your tank isn't going to like big swings in water parameters.
