Hello from Iowa

Hey there, I was referred to this site by a couple other users here and there. Seems like a pretty active site so I hope to be able to contribute and get a few ?'s answered too. Been fish keeping for almost 25 years and reef keeping for only about 2. I kind of fell into maintaining a reef tank (that was hardly a reef at the time) and now with all the help I've received, mainly online, I've managed to turn it into a thriving reef. I picked up maintenance on a couple other FOWLR tanks also, but I don't spend much time on those.

I'm on other sites with the same username, so you'll see me around!

Also, if anyone is planning on going to MACNA in Des Moines Sep 9-11, I'll be there all 3 days (I live in West Des Moines)

Hey, cant believe I missed this thread.
Welcome to RF, fellow Iowan!
I grew up in Cedar Rapids and Mt Vernon.
Wish I could go back form MACNA

I think the west coast is due for a MACNA. I think the East coast has had it for a long time, haven't they? At least that's what I've heard. I'll be at the next one too, wherever that is.

HAHA...not in the Seattle area anyway. Seems the Marine Aquarium Expo up here in Seattle did'nt go over very well with the exhibitors. Some where in California would probably be good for it though.
