Hello - what's new to reef tanks in the last five years??

Hi - I used to be a very active member but got of the hobby about five years ago. I just got back from diving in Bali and am thinking about getting back in. There used to be a place to buy equipment used in here, does that il still exist? Also any new technology outside of LEDs that I wouldn't be familiar with in the past 5 years????

I'm sort of partial to the new algal-based filtration units

Also a lot of bigger all-in-one systems, that don't need sumps.
