yes, this hobby is quite addictive. I keep getting my tank just right, then wanting to add something or upgrade something. the classifieds on this site have saved me soooo much $!

I started reefing and thought id lost weight, i had, from my wallet!

Ya first mistake was buying a tank from someone and not knowing everything I needed first. Assumed since he had fish and rock all was there boy was I wrong now learning more and trying to get all right equipment

Just imagine living where I do and having to pay atleast 52-57% import duty on anything you import here for your aquarium! When you tag shipping from the supplier to the freight forwarder then the freight forwarder here sometimes you end up paying roughly 100% on things so a skimmer you would pay $300 for would cost me about double to bring it in. Buy it from a LFS and you pay their mark-up on top of that!!

That would suck ya the LFS mark up suck especially when somethings you cant afford to wait for without killing something

Welcome to reef frontiers. The people here have alot of knowledge to lend you. Go slow, be patient and research the animals you would like before buying anything.

LOL I feel so bad for you....it must be terrible taking a net to your backyard to fill the tank you had to pay that freight on....so see it all balances out. LOL
