I am new to Reef Frontiers and to owning a salt water aquarium. I have now set up a brine shrimp tank to try and have them be a continual food source, very interested in harvesting algae to help the shrimp grow. If anyone else has done this sort of venture I would appreciate mail in regards to the successful venture I am about to under take. I am also starting a greenhouse which I was planning on raising Tilapia and lettuce greens from Aquaculture, but I find I may want a Spirulina sp algae race way and also to start raising corals.

Thank you for the welcome to RF, I have read and bookmarked his page also, thanks mercenary-grunt. Right now I have a 10 gal tank for the Brine shrimp and my wife is a Microbiologist and brings home Spirulina Sp from work that her company has to test every 2 weeks for bacterial growth, so I am well supplied right now for brine shrimp food. I am studying how well they are doing with all the feedings of Spirulina falling out of suspension onto the tank bottom. The shrimp seem to enjoy diving down into the build up and strut around the tank afterwords. We will see how well it goes before I crash the tank from not changing their water.

I am about to cut my cable and internet off for 10 months to save up enough to get a L.E.D. system for my tank. I will check in here on my phone. Though I would still like help on my ventures :D
