Help/advice needed

I just popped a seem in my tank. well I just noticed it any way. It's on top on the short wall. what do i use to fix it. what do i clean the acrylic with before I glue. also where can I find the glue

you have to make sure that you clean away the previous silicon is gone in order to get the proper seal. LFS have the right silicon but you can usually find it at a hard ware store for cheaper. I can't remember which one to use off the top of my head but a simple google search will tell you. to clean it I would sand it the best you could or try to scrape it off with a credit card if it will let you. hope that helps

I built a temp brace out of 4x4's. the silicon wont work since the tank is acrylic. the glue is weldon, but there are different types I'm not sure what one to use or go about cleaning the area before use

From what I've read, and since I've never done it, I'm only really posting to possibly help with search terms.. What weldon to use (3 or 16) comes down to what you are comfortable with rather than difference in strengths. 3 is runny and 16 is thicker (or the opposite) For a seam, you'll likely want to use some pins to get an even seal. If you have a clean break in the seam, I think I've seen people say just clean it with rubbing alcohol, if its a little more jagged, you'll likely have to sand and even the surfaces.
Might be worth shooting a PM off JPG@CFI and see if CFI might be able to just do it for you...

thats a great idea. leave it to the pros. I've used weldon 16 before, it seemed kinda runny, I thought there was an option that was super thick cant recall the number though

Peppie or Jason at CFI will be the best persons to ask. I dont think you want to use anything like rubbing alcohol though. I think that penetrates acrylic and will weaken it. If I remember right.
