I will post this in the WTB section also but I thought it would work here also.
I am in bad need of someone that is will to build me a stand and hood for my glass 150.(24"x48") Nothing special just structurally solid and presentable. My living room is more contemporary in style so the stand would not have a lot of detail just light wood and clean lines.

I love some of the stands out there but I refuse to pay that much for stuff that is usually crap.
I am looking to spend $400. Please shoot me a PM if you are interested in making a little cash on the side.
I know there are plenty of construction workers out there that are slowing down with winter coming and could use the cash.
I know there are plenty of DIY plans out there but I have neither the tools not time (single dad of 2 kids) to take on the project.

Your going to be better off posting a picture or two of what you are looking for. Also may concider used, your budget is pretty low.

Great point Don.
Attached are a few pictures of the general idea. I realize the price is not that high but I don't mind doing some of the work i.e. putting knobs and hinges on and applying the stain.
For anybody interested I will put up half the money up front by going with you to buy the lumber and supplies. I will even transport the lumber to you house/workshop. I am willing to put time and work into this but I hesitate to do it myself as my woodworking skills suck.
Anyways let me know if you are interested and we can work out the details.
