I'm not there but when you do water changes just scrape and the suck the bad out, lol

Did you end up building a refugium, or at least adding some chaeto to your sump? I had a terrible time with bryopsis, but it's now receding. Changing my halides to a higher spectrum cut the photosynthetic capabilities of the algae, and running the light on the refugium longer soaked up more nutrients.
