Any one have a good way to catch Chromis, four of them? They know when I come and hide behind the rocks.

I have a fish catcher clear tube that I have caught fish in before with food and a mirror - BUT, the Chromis stay away and hide most of the time when that is in my tank....

Any suggestions?:help:

Red film over flashlight..entire room needs to be dark,, do not turn on any lights..if this doesn't work then try barbless hook with food on it..doesn't hurt fish

I had to get/have a long piece of fish line for my door. Fed the box than stood like 6ft back behind my chair and that worked.
Caught my naked nemo, chromis, and the target pygmy angel.

I've caught fish that were very timid before using a large box style fish trap. But you have to get the fish comfortable going into the trap first.
I would usually place the trap in the tank a week or two in advance and only feed from the trap.
When the fish realize the only way to get food was to swim into it, then you have most of the battle won.
