I would like to setup my ato like the guy did in this video. I read through the link he posted but it didn't seem to explain how he setup the one he was showing off. I have an Apex controller with the breakout box I would like to use. I don't really know the first thing about wiring this together let alone programming the Apex when I'm done installing the switches. I bought three 90* switches already and I plan on drilling my sump to put them in like in this video.

Thanks,

Hi Brian,

Thats a great ATO and great use of the APEX. IMO, I would not drill the sump to install the switches, I would utilize an acrylic bracket that you can mount hem too, much like the ones from autotopoff.com

Hey Brian, very cool vid and really like the DIY and $30 price tag for the setup. Maybe we need to have a NSR Workshop on this as well. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Todd

I have heard that the switches shouldn't have the wires submerged under water. If that isn't a worry I could make a bracket but either way is fine with me I don't mind drilling my sump it's acrylic and they have pretty good rubber seals on the switches. It would just be similar to putting in a really small bulkhead.

Is he not utilizing the breakout box with his setup? I like how the wires from all the float switches are all neatly done together with that circuit board thing but is there a way to tie them all together and still use my breakout box?
