I need help identifying the sex of my bangaii cardinals. I have four and now I want to keep only 2 but I would like to keep a male and a female any ideas on how to identify them?

Good luck with sexing your Banggais. The only way to get a positive sexing of your fish is to wait until they mature and start the mating dance. Until then, there are some rough guidelines, but they are not reliable.
I raised Banggai babies back in 2001 with great success. I had bought two Banggais with no intentions of breeding them. Then one day the daddy looked like a chipmunk with a mouth full of nuts. I then sought out advice from Frank Marini who was then the foremost authority on them.
Several times over the course of a year, I witnessed the mating dance. Raising baby Banggais was one of the coolest reef related things I have ever done.
