I need some advice. i am getting a 60 gallon cube that is 24 x 24 x 24. It is going to come with a Reef Star 250W HQI Metal Halide System. I could suspend this above the tank but how would I include the actinics and what wattage would you recommend? also, how would I inlude the led's? Would you even recommend this lighting setup or should I get a system that is all in one? Just curious. I plan on setting this tank up as a reef tank. Thank you

you can try 14k hqi hamiltons for a more blue effect. i would suggest 20k radiums but i think they only make mogul style. you can try 20k hqi xm bulbs. i heard those have a blue look to them. as for the led's, is that what your using for moonlight? if yes you can probably retro them into the exsisting reef star system.

You can also build a canopy and retro the Reef Star 250W MH along with 2 24'' retro T-5s on either side of the MH. You can suspended it from the ceiling or have a welder weld you a bracket like myself for the canopy to rest on.
