Help with Tank Heater please.

I am on my 2nd heater and it's not putting out the heat. It worked in the begining fine,but now I have it on maxium and I am only at 74 degrees. Yes, I got the correct one for the size of the tank (150W) . Did I damage it when changing the water? I turned it off and waited a bit. I would like to get the Eheim from Foster & Smith but worry of keeping the tank at that temp for a longer period of time.

Until you get a new heater, close the room and add a space heater or turn up the building thermostat. Can also add water cooled pumps. A working 150w should be fine for a 37 gal so it is most likely going bad.

For the money, I like the Aqueon Pros. Unbreakable and the top doesn't fall off.
