I just noticed this guy growing on the top of my rocks after getting back from vacation. At first I thought it might be a majano pest but looking closer it appears to be something else. Any ideas?

It appears to a be a single polyp of a hardy coral that is referred to as "clove polyp" or "pipe organ". It is not a pest.

I'd agree it looks like a clove polyp coral. One of the nicer colored ones. got yourself a great hitchhiker there.
