Home made sump

How hard and how expensive is it to build a sump out of a 20 gallon tank. I have a 120 gallon fish only tank and thought it would be cool to make one.

cost me about 29.00 total. that was including a 20 gallon long and the acrylic to build the baffles and the silicone to seal them in.

oh yeah i did buy a dremel as well but that wouldn't count into the cost

Yep I have a 20 long sump too. I did add two filter sock holders at 21.99 each as well. But I used glass from lowes at 4$ cut to any size you want. HTH Steve

I built a sump out of a old 55 AGA. Put in a refugium on one side and a skimmer on the other side with the return between them. All it cost was for the silicone and few pieces of plastic. Completed it in one afternoon easy.
