I woke up yesterday morning to the GFI outlet that everything for my aquarium is plugged into tripped. Of course i investigate since everything else in the room is still working. Can't find anything, the power strips are mounted on the wall so i see no evidence of water, no fish sitting on a cord or any other crazyness like that.
So i reset it, turns everything right back on, still can't see anything not working. So its all good. Well i get home last night, and the lights were out (timer turned them off). But i happened to notice the way the light in the room was hitting my tank one of my older powerheads was not moving any water. I unplug it and pull it out, set it in the sink and plugged it in. Soon as the prongs were in it tripped the GFI in the kitchen.
Cut cord off and trashed it.
On the plus side i can get the last koralia that i want now since that was the last of my old powerheads.
And remember, if somethings not right, unplug it before getting wet!
