Hey I need to connect a pump to my hang on back refugium.

I need to drop it a few inches below the water level.

What kind if tubing and clamp could I use to make this drop.

I looked for these at Lowes and the guy said they carried them in the past but no longer. No info on HD. BUT, I found them in a variety of sizes at Ace Hardware. Ace is the place! I bet McLendons would have em as well. You can get em at some fish stores, but they are cheaper at Ace.

if this is in the display tank, I'd try a find any kind of hose that would connect the two points without using a clamp. pressure/push on?

You can use metric hose on sae fitting. Heat in hot water and they go right on then shrink very tight. McClendons should have metric hose. They also have the plastic clamps on a end cap display in the plumbing section.

I have a stainless one with no issues. BUT, zipties are awesome. Especially if you have one of those ziptie guns that can make them tight. Harwicks sells the plastic style hose clamps though if you want those
