How big of a sump should I have for a 150 gallon tank?????I have seen sumps that have some kind of plant in it what kind is it and what is the purpose of it???What should you have in a sump?????Some sumps I see are very plain just plants and live rock and others have all sorts of stuff in it and different compartments for stuff.....Any suggestions or info would be appreciated.......

I have a 125g tank with a 59G Oceanic, I made to a sump & it is great!
Personally I would not go smaller than a tall 30g for a sump!
You can put your equipment in it like a heater, skimmer, a place for the filter sock every so often, umm If you want to do a refuge. just to start!

first figure how big your in-sump skimmer is going to be, then how much room you have to fit lighting(if you're going to have it on your sump in the first place). Usually you don't have much choice once you figure those 2 things out, and have to cram that and all your other stuff in under your cabinet.

15gallons would be too little for that size of tank, imo.
