Just as the title said: How do I modify ETSS 800 with becketts???
Any info, diagrams, pictures etc.. would be greatly appreciated. I know there are some out there and was wondering if it is worth the effort. Thanks for your time.

The easiest way is to cut the down-draft tubes and insert a 1 1/2" pvc coupler. Seal it with weld-on 40. Install a 1" reducer bushing and then your good to go. You can slap on a ready made beckett assembly and vavoom. You could also cut the down-draft tubes off flush with the box and use weld-on 3,4 or 16 to plate over the holes. Then you can use a 1" uniseal or drill and tap the hole (if you have a 1" pipe tap). You can also do the "ghetto" beckett with a 1 1/4" pvc repair coupler. It works well but looks cheesy. I have pictures of both conversions on the shop computer so if you have not figured out what to do or gotten other advise I'll post pics tomarrow. Here is a thread I responded to a while back with pics of a down-draft skimmer iap john made and I converted to a beckett. (has both the 1 1/2 couplers welded in with 40 and the pipe repair beckett chamber.) ( I should mention the box part was the down draft skimmer, John made them as a replica of ETSS. I slapped the tube, the crappy flanges and the collection cup from another old 5" IAP venturi skimmer together in a couple hours, just to see if the beckett would work.)
