I see a lot of people building these nice huge arc's out of rock so my question is:

How do they get the rocks to stay together? I mean what do they use to have them bond and stay together?

Thanks for the help

All the rock 'construction' projects I've seen are done with that pond foam, PVC, and zipties.

You could also build your own live rock out of aragonite and aragocrete.

Let me know if that helps out any. The thing with making your own rocks is allowing the proper cycling and curing time. If you pull the rocks too soon from curing then you could end up with a melt down.

Pretty easy really. Here is a list of things you would need zip ties, acrylic rod, Pond foam (UV protected), epoxy or I used gorilla Super Glue, Crushed corals or sand, Razor blade, and the last thing is patience and more patience.

TwoLittleFishies Aquastick is a commonly used Epoxy. It even comes in a purple color, that will look like coralline algae. As far as I know, both Barbie and Kevin carry it. If not the TLF brand, they carry something similar, that works great. I'd have to dig around under my stand to find the actual brand...lol.
