How do you start an over the back drain?

Is there any easy way to start one cause i can't get it to work. the old siphone it like a tank of gas.

Yep, the utube's are pretty easy, just stick some hose in the top of the arc, and give it a suck. You'll want water on each side ofcourse with each end submersed. Use a long hose ; )
