How does dosing(and overdosing) iron affect your corals and reef??

I would like to know specifically how your fish, corals, and reef health could/would be affected both short and long term if you were to somehow introduce a lot of iron.

I know it is religiously dosed by some, but in small amounts and usually chelated.

Im actually talking specifically iron rust, and a whole lot more than a rusty screw/bolt would add, but any and all knowledge on the subject of both intentional dosing as well as accidents appreciated.

Try reading through these for your answer. It has been awhile for me. I do not know of anyone who has specific knowledge of overdosages or very low levels.
