How does one upload pics to threads?

Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum

Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

Right click on the picture you are going to use and select "Open image to new window"

Copy the url of that window

Go to the post you wish to insert the picture in, and click on the img

Paste the url - but you have to be careful of 2 https...I usually just delete the one that is in the little box

That should do it. Now, I'm going on memory, so I'm 98% sure ;)

???

I can't right click image and open to new window, I can however right click and choose "open with" I chose IE and copy and pasted the url but it didn't work. Wasn't an http but rather c:\Documents.... but that didn't work.

If the picture is located on your computer, then you can just go down to

Attach File, click on Browse....and select your picture

Hope this helps?

Hi

Was looking at this post and thought I could add my two cents ~

Like reefs it's patience!

What I do is go the the source or picture on the web you want and right click on the picture item you'd like and left click on properties. On windows base computers you should then be presented with the pictures propteries and then select the the compete address of said item and copy it with the mouse or use(Ctrl C) on the keyboard after its highlighted. Example:
example.jpg

Just select the Address: (URL) and copy as stated above then click on IMG on post and then paste to the open windows making sure you paste over the (http://) you can use the keyboard (Ctrl V) for pasting also!

Thanks Jud for making that clear - great post! The other method I gave is for pictures that are not located on the web...you have to use the attach file box. However, you can upload into the photogallery then use the IMG function to attach to a picture.

LOL - I lack patience when it comes to computers.....hmmm.....I might have to try that. :)

Thanks Jud it worked. So what kind of LTA is it? So far it rolled over my LT Plate coral and half killed it and killed my peppermint shrinp. It must have a very potent sting. Would a BTA be a better choice?
