Just curious to hear if anyone even has a clue.
I had mine in the tank for a little over a year, and its been healthy (as far as I can tell), moulting regularly and with a healthy appetite.
Now its missing. I don't have any aggressive fish in the tank, and have searched the carpets all around the room and still cannot find it. I guess its possible that its still in the tank, but I don't have much LR and still don't see it in there. Just wondering if he/she may have died and been eaten before I found any remains (although I would have thought I'd see something floating around in the tank. Its been about 3 days since I last saw it.

In general terms, Lysmata shrimp will live about 4 years, sometimes a bit longer. The kicker is, you really have no way to accurately guage the age of the animal when you aquired it. Could be it was more mature than you thought. Size can be deceiving.

Cheers
Steve

Thanks, Steve.

I guess I really don't know the age of it when I bought it, although it was approx. half the size it was a week ago.

Oh well....I guess this is just one of those mysterious dissapearences....lol
