I'm re-doing my flow and I am going to rely less on my return pump for flow. I want to downsize to about 4x return on a 90 gallon plus sump, but I want my return to go through a 1/4 Pacific Imports chiller I ordered. I currently have a Mag 12 hooked up but no chiller yet. I have a Mag 5 that I use for water changes. I'm wondering if the Mag 5 would work or If I need more flow.

You don't want a lot of flow going though the chiller. I have a small maxi jet on mine.

I was going to have my return pump go to my chiller and my chiller outlet go back to my tank. The RC calculator doesn't take into factor a chiller. I'm trying to get around 400 gph for flow going into the chiller and back to my tank.

I just found it on-line the Cl-605 adds 6 feet of head pressure and the chiller asks for a flow of 600-1000gph. So maybe I'll stick with the Mag-12. Thanks
