I did a quick skim of this forum to see if there has been a post of this nature with no luck.

I was told its good to dip your corals in iodine/lugol's before quarantining when you get a new specimen.

the LFS said to get Lugol's or ReefDip/Seachem, add it to the bag to get a tealike color, shake gently around a bit and quarantine.

Anybody?

If I were going to do a dip, which I don't...lol....I don't think I'd do it in the bag. I'd dip in a separate container, or add to the container during the acclimation period. Although, now that I think about it, I don't see how doing it in the bag would hurt. It seems I've read about using the Lugols a lot of places...but that there are some corals in particular that don't handle it well. That's the depth of my knowledge on dipping....lol. Sorry for such a useless response.
