how to do the closed loop system

i have A 55 gallon reef . i have a mag 5 iv herd of people doing it but i have not idea i also have a scwd anydbody have any ideas for me thanks?????

I'd do a basic google search and just check closed loop systems out overall. There are several was to build a CL and devices to alternate flow patterns with in a closed loop system.

Trido, I have a CL that I installed on my tank with drilled bulkheads through the side panels and om squirt. I'm not sure on my next build if I'll do a CL or not. I'm thinking of going with eductor on my sump return and 2 vortex for overall flow. I've seen other 215s planned this way that are growing SPS fine. Just not sure yet? I'll definately check out your build thread though!

I'm not so sure I'd do a closed loop in a 55 but here is my old CL.

I have a closed loop in my 54 and it still wasn't enough flow for my SPS. I had to add a tunze 6055 on a controller and acouple nano koralias. All this coupled with my sump return. My CL has a pan world 50pxx. Anyways, as I also noted above, on my next build I'm condisering not doing a CL and using 2 - vortex 40s
