Hi, I am planning to get a large (8" chamber) used skimmer that unfortunately does not have a drain fitting in the collection cup. How difficult would it be for me to drill a 1/2" hole in the cup bottom to put in a drain? I know that acrylic tends to shatter, so a regular drill won't work. Would a Dremel tool or some other tool do the job?

Bring it down to CFI world headquarters, and we can drill and tap it for a John Guest fitting. Only take a few minutes. Jason

A big shout-out for Jason @CFI, who did a great job of tapping and installing a drain on my Euroreef RS180 skimmer's collection cup. If any of you DYI guys out there need help with acrylic or cabinetry, be sure to look him up. Thanks, Jason!
